About - Oxford Biological Society
The purpose of OBS is to inspire and hone a community of people with an interest in Biology with University students, through both academic and social means. We aim to spark interest for the many facets of Biology, through diverse events that range from thought-provoking speakers, to fun socials and get-togethers with a variety of themes. Whether to learn, socialise, network, or simply appreciate nature outside of studies, this society intends to bring together like-minded individuals in their passion for the natural world, as well as the broad range of aspects that Biology has to offer.
Biosoc members are able to attend speaker events and social events. We offer a number of opportunities to members. Some examples include running joint events with the Cambridge University Biological Society, formal dinners, botanical drawing classes and opportunities to network with world renowned researchers and experts.
